Missing who?? Bee's grandmother!!

Still remembers, Bee brought Missy Hapi to meet his grandmother many many years back and soon after it became a practice for them to visit her twice a month. Grandmother would cook a lot of nice food for them when they visit her. She knew Missy Hapi loves to eat prawns so most of the dishes had prawns, e.g. prawns in tomatoes paste. *How sweet* :)

Grandmother was still strong healthy positive and chatty even in her age of 80s, but she became weaker and weaker as days go by. She was weak to cut her toes nails herself, Missy Hapi would then offer to help cut and trim for her. Though her nails-cutting skill was lousy but grandmother never complain and even gave her a smile back as a gesture of appreciation. :)

As usual, they went to visit grandmother as usual last Saturday but did not expect it was their last meet. They bought bean curd for her she ate a few spoonfuls only. She looked different that day, very inactive. Normally she will want them to bring her downstairs to walk and see things but just not that Saturday.

Missy Hapi got a phone call from Bee three days after their visit, saying that his grandmother had passed away due to old age. She was 93 then.

It was quite a shocking news for them!! Bee was terribly sad as he and his grandmother were very close she took care of him since he was a baby to a fat bubbly teen. To him, his grandmother was like his everything, one of his closest kin.

Mummy accompanied Missy Hapi to see grandmother on that very night she was there lying on her bed "sleeping" so peaceful.

The wake was held below her flat. During the last day all her children, grandchildren, relatives and friends accompanied her walked finished her last course. It was seriously a sorrowful walk.

She was brought to heaven on 18 July 09.

She will be in their hearts always!!

What are they queuing for?

A unit at Parc Lumiere, Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) project.

Viewing Period : 18 April 09 (Saturday)
Booking Period : 21 April 09 (Tuesday)

This development has a total of 360 units, out of it 120 are four-room and 240 five-room.

The mode of sale for Parc Lumiere will be walk-in selection instead of the usual balloting exercise. Interested buyers will have to queue and buy a unit on the spot. It is First-Come-First-Served basis.

The average selling price is S$425 per square feet. This translates to between S$378k - S$425k for a four-room, and between S$462k - S$575k for the five-room flat.

The price of a four-room unit seems reasonable and a lot of people, including Bee, are eyeing on it.

According to the Newspapers, interested buyers have started queuing before its launch and the first person has turned up on Friday,8am.

Knowing they would not get a high chance to purchase a new flat in the Central area plus Bee prefers to stay in the East side more than the West, therefore their focus is now on Parc Lumiere.

The developer, Sim Lian Group, did not mention anything till the day before its launch. Missy Hapi called them up and the staff mentioned the booking will start next Tuesday.

"The booking might commence earlier if the response gets overwhelm and the queue gets longer." She added.

Without second thoughts, Missy Hapi gathered mummy and Bee to queue and try their luck after work. They reached there slightly before 9pm and got a queue number, 204.

They were given a brochure. In it, there are details of the floor plans and site map of Parc Lumiere.

It was getting late and everyone started to feel tired and sweaty. The developer warned everyone to stay-put and no one is allowed to go home otherwise their chance will be forfeited.

They waited a night there. Time seems to past reasonable tolerable but after 4am the time seems to move slower. :l

Finally the developer came at 7am and opened the door to the show-flats for the buyers who have waited overnight for an early preview.

The five-room is really really superB nice and very big as compared to the four-room. Missy Hapi simply loves the big balcony and kitchen, she wanted a five-room but Bee opposed. With the price, they can get a re-sale unit in the Central area. Four-room also have both balcony and kitchen but smaller anyway.

The first person bought their unit at about 10am, Congrats!! Most of their desired four-room flats on high floor were snatched by 5pm. She was disheartened. Missy Hapi and Bee only got to choose their unit at about 7pm. Finally!!

Luckily Buddha was blessing them all the while and left them quite a good unit. She was so happy and they grabbed it immediately. :)

The whole process of the walk-in selection is like waiting, waiting and waiting. They waited since Friday evening till Saturday morning just to view the show-flats and waited again to have their E-application process and waited for their turn to book a unit.

The staff told Missy Hapi and Bee that they made the right choice by choosing a smaller unit cause a bigger unit is harder to maintain and they cannot downgrade to a four-room in future. It is better to start with a smaller unit.

The house is deem to be ready in Year 2011. Very excited to move in. :)

Everything just does not go her way!

6 December 2008 (Saturday) was not a good day for Missy Hapi. :(

Everything started with. . .

Unfortunate mishap 1- wrongly estimation of time! Her flight departs at 7.55pm can you imagine our "ah-ma" here was still at home packing her bag at 6pm. Reached airport at 6.35pm waited more than half hour to check-in by her time there wasn't any aisle seat, expected. :|

Unfortunate mishap 2- Her international flight was delayed an hour plus she was thinking will she miss her domestic flight?? Luckily, she bought a travel insurance. haha

Unfortunate mishap 3- Just before the plane departed Singapore, her hand phone black-out and from then unable to make/receive any calls or messages. Oh my goodness!!

Unfortunate mishap 4- The flight’s entertainment system was down for an hour, disappointed.

Luckily Bee remembered to pick her up from airport if not will box him. haha

"Girl, please start to pack something. You are leaving for Australia this Satuday for a three weeks holiday not three days can dont let me worry!" Her mummy everyday statement to Missy Hapi and she can remember word by word.

Her mummy went shopping with her today.

She saw this 30inch black luggage and love it at first sight. She tried pulling it here and there before going to cashier.Then . . .
a salesman came over and said "Girl, this luggage is too big and heavy for you can you manage alone, come let me show you the smaller and newer ones."

He recommended her the red luggage.

Missy Hapi was in a dilemma situation for nearly an hour to decide to take the black or the red one. She even messaged Bee for his opinion. Bee told her to choose the black one while Mummy told her to choose the red one cause more feminine. *diaoz*

She chose the Black one! Missy Hapi can start packing her clothes on Monday after work. Yeah!!!

Because of her indecisiveness on the date to Australia Missy Hapi is flying to Australia alone again. If she choose to fly with her friends, she has to top up additional SGD 400 for the air tix. nah!!

It is less than two weeks before her departure she has yet to pack her clothes. She is busy this is not an excuse wor. Luckily she doesnt need to plan the itinerary. Bee so nice he does the everything. :)

This will be her longest and the most expensive holiday for now. Her trip covers Launceston, Horbart, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Sydney. Missy Hapi is getting very excited for her trip. :)

She did some calculation on the total cost it adds up to a ridiculous number!! Plain bread and water for at least five months. lolz.

Bee got upset with whiny Missy Hapi cause she keeps talking about money which is spoiling his mood. Cant be help she is a finance person and is recession now. :x

The lucky thing is that the exchange rate for Aussie dollars has dropped from 1.3 in June to 1 now.

Have an enjoyable trip. Bon voyage!!

Farewell for Wolf

Wolf went overseas to work again, horray!!, meaning Missy Hapi can gets to wear her clothes openly without being caught red-handed. Lolz.

She flew off to Switzerland yesterday for three months assignment there, and also to Canada three years back. She is so independent as compared to Missy Hapi.

Wolf.

It needs a lot of courage to work overseas. You have to be bold to travel alone in a foreign land, take care for your laundry, food and house. (Wolf is lucky! she does not need to do housework she has a part-time helper to clean her house once a week.)

Farewell dinner for Bestie, Boss and Evelyn

Their big boss has been sad probably he had lost three staff overnight. Missy Hapi used to be scare of him, perhaps of his stern looks, but she realised he is not like what she perceived. He is a fatherly big boss actually.

Anyway, he has organised a farewell dinner for them at StraitsKitchen on 30 Oct 08. The food there is simply yummy delicious, Missy Hapi finds the soup best.

How nice it would be if everyone is like Boss

Missy Hapi had a bad week she looked moody practically every day last week.

Boss saw Missy Hapi and Bestie at the Makan room last Friday morning. He noticed Missy Hapi very stress plus their team was down by two members he offered his help to check price, part of her daily routine, for the day. Missy Hapi understands that boss had other things to rush also she decided to check the prices herself.

Boss is a helpful boss. He will offer his help to his team whenever there is a need. : )

Their team has a contract staff, CS, he is hired to assist her other colleague, AJ, to compile the Annual report. Boss has extended his contract till end of this year because AJ and Missy Hapi will be taking their core leave together in December. AJ told her that CS may be fast in doing his work but he is not meticulous.

Missy Hapi had a small unhappiness with CS last Friday afternoon.

"Have the prices from the fund managers been sent to us?" CS asked.

"Let me come back from the loo then print for you." Missy Hapi replied.

"You print for me first so I can start doing." CS.

*Missy Hapi printed for him before going loo.*

"Boss might check price later." Missy Hapi.

"If Boss checks price then what are you be doing later?" CS asked.

*Missy Hapi paused for a moment and looked at him*

She did not answer him. she does not need to report to him on what she will be doing if boss is to check price later. Even if she tells him he might not understand cause he is only a contract staff plus her friends are outside waiting for her to go loo.

CS continue to irritate her later in the day by hurrying her to check faster.

He wasnt aware that he had made five serious careless mistakes and needed Missy Hapi to correct them.

This is not the first time he made these mistakes. Missy Hapi has told him many times that he must ask if he is unsure about anything because any mistake might lead to a pricing error.

Their team cannot afford to have anymore pricing error because they had three this year, unfortunately.

CS is considered very lucky. If his careless mistakes were caught by the previous checker, AH, he will be yelled at for sure and will come to office with fear everyday. Missy Hapi did not yell at him in fact she explained and asked him to redo the Valuation reports.

Probably Missy Hapi looks soft that is why he took her softness for granted. She does not want to be nasty to him and ruin their colleague-colleague relationship.

Missy Hapi's 101 philosophy

Missy Hapi has been observing the people around her for the past few months, she realised that there are many small things each failed to notice and / or might infuriate others plus making themselves unglamourous.

She did a self-reflection the night before and realised she has the same problem too.

It is not easy to change a behaviour that has been with you for many years. Missy Hapi will put in effort to try to eliminate all unglamourous actions. She has come out with her "Never" and "Try not to" philosophy and will like to share with her readers.

Never . . .

* Not wash your cup before leaving for the day.

* Yawn without covering your mouth.

* Burp loudly. . . it is not funny.

* Not wipe your mouth after meal.

* Talk on the phone loudly in public.

* Quarrel in public.

* Apologise too many times it will only irritate the affected person more.

* Not admit your own mistake!! there is nothing to be ashamed of.

* Bottle up your unhappiness!! say it out let the person knows so she/he will not repeat the unpleasing action again.

* Be unfriendly with anyone smiling is easier than frowning. :)

Try not to . . .

* Whisper among yourselves when you are in a group. . . it is rude.

* Sleep later than 12MN.

* Listen to a sad song when you are down. . . it will make your life more miserable only.

* Biased!! be fair to everyone.

* Reprimand anyone in the morning. . . it will spoilt the person's mood and she /he will not perform the whole day.

* Look at someone for more than 13 seconds. . . it is rude.

* Wear slippers in office!!! with comfortable shoes she will tend to run around like a monkey. . . it will cause disturbance to other colleagues (this applies to Missy Hapi only :x)

* Say No / Cannot / impossible without trying. . . everything is possible!!

* Look at your computer for more than six hours non-stop.

* Get excited so easily.

* Be late for appointment

Stop blogging and return to the excel spreadsheets for the preparation of new funds for office use.

Sweat it out with TT 27 Sep 08

Missy Hapi is crazy over cycling once again. She went cycling with her ex-colleague, L. Kuen, two weeks ago and with TT yesterday. She does not mind going to East Coast Park (ECP) everyday after work, since is near her office, or every Saturday just for a two hours of cycling.

She misses those night-cycling era with her friends. There was a time they cycled all the way from ECP to Woodlands to meet Snowgirl then all the way back. It was one of the most challenging route they ever took. She remembers the returning part was a tragedy both physically and emotionally tired. But they made it!! :)

TT is her crappy buddy since secondary school.
Rental is extremely cheap, SGD 7 for two hours. You guys can considered this bicycle shop, Cycland, if planning to go ECP to cycle.

Cycland is on the right side of MacDonald facing Sea direction.

So sunny till her eyes cannot open.

They went MacDonald for Sundaes after their shopping. They have so many things to talk about again if fatigue is not an issue they would chat till the next day morning.

Both of them are chatty box. There was once they talked on the phone from 1am till 7am then met for MacDonald breakfast and continue. This happened many many many years back.

Shopping!!

Missy Hapi went shopping with her bestie last Saturday and bought ten tops, two bottoms and a pair of shoes.

Bestie has quite good taste wor she knows what type of clothing will suit Missy Hapi best. She helped her to choose many nice outfits that day. Thanks Bestie. *bearhug*

Out of the ten tops, five are black, one white, two grey and two brown. All are short sleeves and most of the tops has a dress pattern on it. Her mummy will have a nightmare ironing. *xin ku ni le Mummy* For your info, Missy Hapi is learning how to iron.

You know how crazy this girl is. She spent alooooot of money that afternoon. If she continues to spend like a duke she will need to cancel her holiday this December.

Bread and milk for lunch the next few months. :(

Also the base clef is so much louder than the treble clef!! Her left hand seems stronger wor.

This day has come!!
Time passes soooOOoo fast!!!

Her parent, Wolf and snowgirl accompanied her to the convocation. All very nice they actually took a half day leave for her.

Wolf bought a bouquet of red roses for her darling sister. Very sweet.
Snowgirl came to the ceremony with a huge bouquet of flowers, a forever sisters bear plus a card. This was unexpected and she was emotionally affected.

*Thank you Mama Ser, Bubbly Fin and Snowgirl for the gifts.*
Missy Hapi was on time for the ceremony but late for the briefing. Luckily the guy seated beside her guided her through where to wait to be called and when to bow and blah blah blah.

That guy asked for her number later and sent her a message soon after. The funny part. . . Missy Hapi was beside him when he messaged her. *raise eyebrow*

Her parents are very proud... both her daughters have graduated.

Miss Hapi had a hard time spending weekend at home.

She has no mood to simplify the excel templates used at work. No mood to practice her piano pieces, no mood to try on new recipes, no mood to sign up for an facebook account. She doesNt want to stay home. She wants to go out. She wants to do sports.

She wants to go cycling, she wants to go swimming, she wants to go kite flying, she wants to go Sentosa sun tanning.. . but she could not find anyone to go with her.

All her friends were busy and unwell to go out with her. *she is whining*

She stayed at home and explored the features of blogspot. She added two new gadget. 1. blog list- a blogroll of her favourite blog. 2. a Poll- collection of opinions from her readers. *Join in the fun and make your selection :)*

This girl also revamped her blog to a very colourful one. She chose a new colour for the text, the link, the blog title, the blog description, the post title and blah blah blah. Her blog turns out to be bright and jazzy, it will give her readers a very happy feeling when reading her online diary. She likes the final layout.

It really brightens up her mood.

"Fantastic" is the remark, her boss commented on her simplified excel template.

"Good job" is the word, her colleagues said to her after she showed them the improvised template.

Missy Hapi uses her little creativity and with the help of excel formulas together with the amazing Marcos to simplify it.

She combines four worksheets into one. All they need to do now is simply input the numbers in the common tab and the numbers will automatically flow to the other tabs of the designated cells with just two click. *dut dut*

With the streamlining, she and her colleagues can save the trouble of replicating the other worksheets.

I do not know why this girl was feeling extremely anxious when explaining the procedure to her colleagues that day. She actually talked verrrry fast plus super excited till her boss commented that they were like watching a scary movie when listening to her.

When Missy Hapi has interest in something, she doesnt mind putting extra effort, doesnt mind staying home on weekends to design the templates for her colleagues and make easy for them at work.

She sees her colleagues happy she will also be happy.

Another achievement!! There will be more.

Rushed off from work. . . to meet Anastasiazen and her boy, Gabriel.

Both of them very nice. They gave Missy Hapi a lift to Boardway, an inconvenient place at Serangoon, to collect their graduation gown and also treated her dinner. Thanks!!

Gabriel so lucky!! His car passed the Bugis ERP gateway @ 20.01hrs, he saved the ERP charges.

Fifth day.

Their lunch looks very delicious wor. There is mushroom cream soup, salad and curry chicken rice. It was prepared by Bee.

Third and fourth day in Ross and Hobart.

It will be a three hours driving Southeast from Launceston to Hobart.

Don't get cheated by the sunny weather. It was very cold actually, about 10degree in the day. The temperature can gets down to five degrees in the night.

He messaged her this morning saying she hum very loud. This girl here must be on cloud nine that's why she does not even know she hum when listening to music.

Daddy came home with a parcel for Missy Hapi. She has been waiting for this CD, loaded with many beautiful memories of their Aussie holiday, for a week plus after her returns.

Mediacorp has been nice to home-viewers these days they have been airing good movies on Saturday nights. They had Alexander yesterday and will be showing Troy next week on movie house. Here is another reason for Missy Hapi to come home early on Saturday nights.

Leaving the sunny Singapore for the winter Australia - 25 June 08

Missy Hapi went to office as usual took two hours time-off but boss wants her to leave after lunch. He does not wish to see her rush here and there then miss her flight in the end. Missy Hapi has a thoughtful boss wor.

Left office at 1pm headed home immediately. Bee’s parents coming over and pick them up to Airport at 4.30pm. Knowing she has two hours to pack her luggage and get herself changed, she felt little rush. Missy Hapi is thankful that Bee’s family is treating her very good.

Her parents, uncle, auntie, Ee and cousin Daniel all came to send her off, so sweet of them. This is the first time both their parents meet feeling quite anxious. Luckily they can hit it off well.

This girl feels like a princess cause everyone treats her very nice. : )They reached Changi airport at 5.15pm still early went to Jolly Bean to have some snacks after her checked-in. Missy Hapi felt super excited again the moment she got her boarding ticket.

Ee, Missy Hapi, mummy, auntie, uncle, daddy and cousin Daniel Knowing she will be all alone soon she starts to feel insecure but remained cool and alert all time. Her parents can tell she is excited but scare, Missy Hapi is someone who cannot hide her emotion well.

She walked slowly and took a lot of photos on her way to gate C18, a gate which is far away from the departure hall.

Reflection of herself. hahaha Her flight left Spore @ 7.45pm (Spore time) and reaches Sydney @ 5.10am (Aust time). Australia time is two hours ahead of Singapore time. The total traveling time is about seven hours.

Bon voyage!!! we will miss you.

It is not scare and difficult to travel alone actually you just need to be more attentive and alert to the things around you. Missy Hapi can do it so can you.

Her sister dear has too many nice thick coats for her to choose.

With only two bags and so many clothes. . . Missy Hapi is in a dilemma on which ones to put down. She is crazy planning to bring about three thick coats and eight thin jackets for just a twelve days holiday.

“Girl, you going for a fashion show ah?”

No need so many. You just need one good thick coat or two, you will be traveling alone it is better to travel light. Don’t need to bring so many clothes you can buy from there. Remember must travel light!! Her mummy added.

The reason for her crazy action is purely because she feels there is not always a chance to wear these coats can only wear in winter countries. Given a chance now of course she wants to bring as many.

Missy Hapi knows is not possible cause the three thick ones already took away half of her yellow luggage. What about her other things?

Service Quality Workshop, 4 June 08

This workshop is important to every company as all embark on the drive to change its approach service. There is a significant opportunity in the market to stand out from the competition, and service is the key.

The training center is at a “woo-loo” place, another office- Comtech @ Alexander. The outside looks like a warehouse but the inside is different. The office there is adequately furnished with a spacious Makan area and most importantly is it gives her a good cozy feeling.

Apart from the location Missy Hapi likes the office there. : )

There were about 40 over people attended this class and the program coordinators were mainly one Caucasian, Mr B, and two Chinese ladies. Missy Hapi enjoyed the way Mr B conducted the training and the way he expressed himself. He gave his trainees a warm and joyous learning time.

Our friend here knew in advance that there will be role-plays so she had no eye contact with the program coordinators, hoping to get unnoticed. She pasted her name label on the bottom right of her clothes and wore a jacket over to cover up half of her name, she and her brilliant idea.

Unfortunately she cannot escape Mr B’s eyes. He requested Missy Hapi to paste her name on a more obvious area on her clothes and he asked for her name.

The training coordinators started the ball rolling by doing the first role-play of two scenarios- a good and a bad customer service.

The second role play is a banking scenario. Mr B was choosing some trainees to act as frontier officers and she was the lucky eight. Her role was to act out as a First Impression Officer, FIO. *swallowed saliva, sure got plenty of interactions* The rests were acting as customer service officers, wealth manager and blah blah blah. *also as bad*

The activity starts once Mr B opened the door. All the customers were dashing towards her. Oh no, why like that!?!? They were deemed scary as they were acting as unreasonable impatient customers.

During the role-play, Missy Hapi simply greeted every one with her all-time BIG smile, asked for their problems and directed the “buggers” hahaha yes buggers to the respective officers. Poor her, she was like walking up and down the room for near 20 over times.

“How are you Missy Hapi with the acting as FIO?” Mr B asked.

“She will tender her resignation letter tomorrow” a trainee replied on behalf.
*whole class laughed*

Below were the feedbacks from the class. . .

* FIO had done well earlier her great smile was always on her face even though she was consistently “attacked” by the flustered customers.
* That was a great role play all the officers handled the situation well.
* When I told the FIO I lost my wallet, she tried to understand my situation by asking some questions and advised me to make a police report first before reporting to the bank. She listened actively and even showed her empathy to me. She can change her current job to FIO.
* FIO displayed positive body language and showed interest in her customer’s problems.
* She is a great empathy FIO. Mr B commented.

Looks like Missy Hapi had done well. *clapping hands*

They had a more interesting activity- “Mystery shopping” after lunch. They get to go to a shopping mall, two in a team, to test the customer service of a particular retail outlet. Their task was to act as arduous customers.

Missy Hapi and her partner were asked to go Guess. Their arduous request was that they want to get a bag for their friend’s birthday but they only have a budget of SGD 20 only.

They want to comment that the sales personnel is good. He was patient with Missy Hapi and partner, and still polite to them though he knew they were not his potential customers. He explained nicely that they are not able to buy a bag with SGD 20. They gave him a hard time and yet he still so nice to them.

On their way back to Comtech, Missy Hapi received a bad news. She and her partner were asked to act out the scene at Guess. There were altogether ten over groups why were they so lucky to get chosen again. Oh no!!! Another role-play.

Missy Hapi got stressful waiting for her turn. Once they start their role play the whole class laughed. They quickly get the role play done once and for all. Some commented that she acted well and can become an actress. *this girl here simply loves to act*

Missy Hapi enjoyed the whole training session. She feels that it is good to participate during training so you will not feel bored and have a better learning experience.

Going to work these few weeks is like sitting on a roller-coaster ride, there are so many ups and down. Missy Hapi and her team are facing several hiccups at work recently.

Her mood has been moody she has been like this for the past few days. Luckily she gets to work from home else she will scare everyone off.
Boss is on leave for 10 days and there are so many downs happening at the same time now. Missy Hapi and her team does not want to disturb him cause they want to learn to clear the obstacle themselves and to answer every email and request that comes to them.

Missy Hapi is very thankful to have many nice colleagues at work. Her teammates are superB and have been great support!!

Some encouragement and support for her. . .

“I'll help you to prepare your funds so you can concentrate on other duties.”

Working from home!!

Greedy is the word to describe Missy Hapi when she is at home. She snacks, nibbles and chews the whole day while working.

Luckily she gets to work from home for these two weeks only. She is going broke from replenishes her goodies once every two days.

Her diet. . .

* Breakfast - one cup of coffee + a glass of milk + two pieces of wholemeal bread with ham and cheese.

* Brunch - a glass of juice + Kinder Bueno + Seaweed + Jelly beans.
* Lunch - Mummy’s cooking.

* Tea break - a cup of coffee + my Chocolate’s favourite “Ang Ku Kuay” or egg tarts from Tong Heng or Pancakes from Jollibean. Daddy's treat!!
* Dinner - Mummy’s cooking.

* Supper - one bottle of Yakult + potato chips + dark chocolate.

Oh no!!! She is gluttonous.

Missy Hapi is flying alone for the first time!!

It is horrific to fly alone and worst if you are flying alone for the first time. :P

You need to be independent and have some knowledge of flying like. . .

* Baggage allowance & Check-in time
* Airport guide
* Pre-departure clearance
* Onboard entertainment (check out the movies offered during your flight, so can save $$ to watch it in cinema :P)
* Transferring (baggage can actually be tagged through to your final destination)
* Where to collect baggage
* What are the items require declaration upon arrival and blah blah blah

You have nobody to lean on, nobody to help you, nobody to take care of, nobody to talk to, nobody to listen to, and practically you have nobody. You have yourself only. You must be calm and perceived to be bold at all times, even though you are trembling inside.

This girl has been doing her homework. She has been..
* Browsing the same few websites again and again for the past month just to get herself familiarize with the Sydney airport, bezurk website to search for good hostels and things to do in Sydney, the Qantas website and blah blah blah.
* Going to library to borrow travel guides and books on Australia
* Planning her 11 days itinerary

Some handy items to bring along
* Her 3-in-1 camera music phone (captures every moment of joy and laughter, listens to music when she is alone)
* A book and a good writing pen (jots down her experience and feeling at the point of time)
* Her camera stand (Tasmania has nice sceneries and in case the one taking photo has wobbly hands)

Missy Hapi wants a fruitful holiday with Bee. She wants to have her 11 days packed with many activities and different experiences.

Headache headache and headache!! Missy Hapi still cannot find a nice pair of covered shoes. Her trip is getting nearer and needs one urgently. She cannot wear those opened toes shoes there else her toes will be frozen. Haha

Her Bestie very nice, she accompanied Missy Hapi for a whole day shopping last Saturday. They went to Puma, Adidas, Converse, Kappa and blah blah blah still cannot get the shoes. She is not upset cause she has gotten two new tops instead. Gave up shopping and head down to meet Bestie’s friend, J.

Missy Hapi is not good at time management she does not seem to plan her time well. Maybe she can consider a timetable. :P

She is going on to Australia this June for 12 days to meet Bee and Pi there. First six days in Launceston and the rest in Sydney. It is about a month left and yet so many things left undone for her holiday. Her mummy has been nagging at her. *Oppps.

* Apply Visa
* Activate auto roam
* Buy Travel insurance
* Bring out the long johns, sweaters, thick jackets for dry cleaning
* Buy a covered shoes
* Get some decent thick wears
* Go library to do borrow travel guides
* Run errands for Bee

He is someone who is
- very sweet and understanding to Missy Hapi and one can tolerates her nonsense :P
- filial to parents specially to his granny
- a respectable brother to his younger sister
- a fun-loving and trustworthy friend, all our friends like to be with him

Bee is in Tasmania, Australia, doing his degree in Architecture now for a year and might needs to return to continue with his Master.

Missy Hapi misses her Bee very much. The good news is she is flying there to meet him this June. Yeah!!

A Happy Day!

Missy Hapi’s company is going to hold a two weeks drill coming end of this month. The objective is to test whether is possible to work out of office. She and her boss are involved but because this exercise crashes with his core leave he is taken out from it.

Weeks earlier when she knew she will be posted to another office at The Comtech, an inconvenience place to travel to, for the 2 weeks drill. Her reaction was like “Huh!! Can I go to the Collyer Quay office instead?” She has been very moody over this news but can’t be help, instructions have to be followed.

Boss knew her concerns, he helped her to opt for work from home instead and has been approved. She is so freaking happy cause working from home is so much better. She does not need to feel frustrated over how to travel there and what to wear daily. But the con side is the access to office network is sLoww.

It is just a week before the drill, Missy Hapi initiated a short meeting with her team yesterday to brief them on what needs to be done and who needs to do what during the 2 weeks drill.

She invited boss to the meeting. He was like half-hearted, go or not to go. She guess the reason for his action is because he does not want Missy Hapi to rely on him during the meeting, he wants her to chair the meeting herself. *Missy Hapi is very shy and does not like to talk much in the office.* :P

She stammered at the start of the meeting, luckily her stammer stopped after a few minutes of warm up and began to talk freely. :) The feeling was marvelous when everyone listens to you and understands what you say.

Before the day ends, boss told Missy Hapi that he will bring her and another colleague to a meeting with external parties next week. Knowing she will not contribute throughout the meeting and yet her boss brings her along. She is happy because her boss is giving her another exposure.

Before he left the office, he commented that Missy Hapi chaired the meeting in the morning well. (This encouragement really helps to gain back her confident.)

She is flying again…. : )

She has been quite stress and over-sensitive these while.

Probably there are too many things happening at the same time and she does not know how to handle them.

Her boss has given her the green light to distribute the workload equally to her colleagues. She does not seems to know how to open mouth to ask her colleagues for help hence she does everything herself made herself so busy and stress and thus she exploded.

Missy Hapi and her nonsense..

She has a misunderstanding with her boss yesterday morning and made him so mad that he slammed his water bottle on the table and said “Whatever”. Her boss was furious because Missy Hapi refuses to say what has actually went wrong.

The misunderstanding started because her boss merely made a casual remark on her. Due to the recent stress, she has taken the remark too seriously and has made her so unhappy.

Thinking back Missy Hapi has regretted for being the cause of her unhappiness.

What done cannot be undone!!!

She has learned from this incident that
- one cannot do everything by herself, there is something call teamwork
- she cannot be over-sensitive all the time and must try view things from an optimistic angle.

CooooL!!!

Missy Hapi received another praise from her boss. *See below*

She remembers spending few weekends at home to automate and streamline her morning job process- by adding formulas, Marco with the help her boss, linkages and blah blah blah to the excel templates. This project does not seems easy for Missy Hapi because she was given a short time to accomplish. Weeks later, the template is ready-to-use! Her boss is impressed and recognised her hard work. *Applause*

Actually there is some misunderstanding with her boss during the initiate stage, he does not seems to like her way of structuring the job flow and insisted his way. He keeps explaining his idea to her but none went to her head.

After a few days of frustration, Missy Hapi put her thoughts together gathered her courage and proposed her way to him again. Boss likes her idea this time round. *yeaH!*

"Well done, Good job Missy Hapi, keep it up!" He said with a smile.

"I think your idea is better than mine, more intuitive. Remember to write your achievement in your Total Performance Management(TPM)." he added.

She is like flying flying so high loh..

After the implementation, the time spent on the morning job process really shorten by at least 20%.

Missy Hapi's boss is really very nice. Someone who is very encouraging and motivating. He is willing to teach, impart his excel skills and share whatever he knows to his colleagues. He recognises their hard work and "aAAhhhem" when they make mistakes at work. The con side of him... he can be quite bias at times :P

Thanks to my sister, she initiates to have one today. Orginally we wanted a bowling session but due to time constraint we cancelled it and went to Coffee Club at Raffles Place to have a simple dinner together. Wolf and I both have Garlic Prawn Pasta which is their highly recommended dish, whereas William and my mother have Miso Soft Shell Crab. We end our dinner with a sweet yummy desert, chocolate muD pie.

During our dinner I found out a secret!!! William does NOT like the taste of a bRinJal, haha, *evil laughter* he is going to eat this on their wedding day.

Raffles Place today is very different from a normal weekday. There is no crowd and is considered a good place where you want to have some quiet moment. I would recommend to those youngsters to come to the coffee house here for their revision instead of studying at a fastfood restaurant in the shopping centres. The above suggestion is like shooting two birds with a stone. One can study in harmony and the tired shoppers can have a drink after their long hours of shopping. :)

There are more responsibilities and expectation of me at work! I need to be more steady and alert all the time. I have made my boss upset today for the reason I did some "mistakes" at work- one cannot prepares and checks the fund pricing, there must be segregation of duties. Secondly we cannot finish the pricing on time and thirdly we only handed him the remaining pricing ten minutes before the cut-off time. Every time when he clears his throat loud, aAAhhhem, I know something is not right!! Expected, he called me and my other colleague over before we leave and lectured us with a smile. *scary sia*

Mood has been terribly down for this evening. Hope coming friday will be a fine day again.
